I make ceramic vessels to feed my soul. And I find that deep breaths are needed all along the way of the magical process of transforming a lump of clay into a thing of conscious form and function.

Yay! Learning pottery with Kim Sacks!
At last I am back in a pottery studio! Weekly classes in Kim Sacks' funky studio in Yeoville, filled with inspiring African artworks, lovely music, and people making a huge variety of beautiful ceramics.
Lesson one is always wedging clay and making a "pinch pot." I'm proud of mine.
Amazing to be getting my hands into clay again - my first time since Highland Park High School in Dallas in 1976!
